Why I'm Missing In Action

Forgive me for being away in the blogging world for some time now. I'm actually busy with work and a little preparation for one of the most important day of my life (and B's life, too!).

Meanwhile, here's a preview of what were up to:

YES! We're getting hitched this September! Its an all-family affair that's why there's no major major preparation. We'll just have a simple dinner at the suite and have our overnight stay there with my family and B's.

December 19, 2014 is still tuloy though. See you all next year! :)

OTD + Emcee: BOOKED!

I know its barely a month since I last made an update here. Forgive my laziness. Hehe.

After a week of booking Rejectkrew, we found ourselves booking another great supplier.

We booked Thoffy and availed his Package A which consists of OTD coordination + emcee. I was torn between getting him and his previous team (TOE, which is now headed by Kath). I know I can't have both so I made a thorough research hehe! After spending most of my time in GT, I decided to get Events by Thoffy. Plus one of my trusted supplier recommends him so I know I made the right choice!

LIGHTS & SOUNDS: Booked!

"We only want the best for our special day."

That is our motto. So getting Rejectkrew is a must! After learning that Elmer was the Weddings at Work Top Supplier for 2010, I'm more than convinced that we should get his services.

Medyo matagal bago mag reply si Elmer (I understand naman kasi in demand sya) but I'm willing to wait naman. I was a bit surprised when he emailed me his rates. Super affordable! :)

Budget-wise + professional supplier = REJECTKREW. What more can I say? :)

HMUA: Booked!

We booked Ms. Xy at the recent wedding fair held at PICC. We passed by their booth and checked out their rates. Among all the HMUA participants at the fair, they offer the most affordable package. I got her Package A (airbrush upgrade for Bride + Groom) for only Php 6,500. But since we got her at the expo, we also got 15% off the package plus freebies! (unlimited retouch + second look, hair accessory for the bride and pre-nup make up). I actually don't like wearing make up but B asked me to try. They do free trial that time so why not try? :)

As I sat down, napansin nya agad kilay ko. She asked "did you bleach your brows?" I said yes, kasi I had my hair dyed. Sabi nya yes, its actually right. And you have to used brow pencil din. :) Oh di ba, kahit di ako make-up fan may alam naman ako kahit pano! Hehe! When she applied the foundation, she asked me, "acidic ka ba?" I said "Yes, pano mo nalaman?" "Kasi nagdarken agad nun inapply ko sayo". So, acidic people, when needed to wear a foundation, use one shade lighter. :)

While she's doing her thing on my eyes, she said I have a beautiful eyes. Maganda daw i-make up ang eyes ko. (to which I strongly agree! bwahaha!! Si B tatawa tawa lang sa gilid upon hearing our conversation). Nun malapit na matapos, Ms. Xy told me "You look like Pauleen Luna." Well I just smiled. (pero sa loob loob ko, "aba mas maganda pa ko dun!" Wahahaha! Chos!) Then she asked again, "may nagsabi na sayo nun?" Sabi ko yes. Gusto ko pa sana magkwento kung kelan, paano at sino-sino ang nagsabing kamukha ko daw si Poleng kaso si B panay object na ang mukha sa mga naririnig nya samin! Hahaha! So nanahimik na ako and let Ms. Xy finish my make up. After the make up, I signed the contract, paid the 2k dp and yes, I now have my hair and make up artist. :)

CATERER: Booked!

I soooo love Passion Cooks! After several budget revisions, numerous change of date, and non-stop praying, I can finally say that I'M NOW A PC BRIDE! Whooooo!! Epektib pa din ang convincing powers ko kay B!  Haha! He's half-hearted kasi with PC because of their high rates. After few pangungulit and pagpapaliwanag why we should get PC, finally he said YES! :) I'm the happiest! Ganun pala feeling pag nakuha mo na ang matamis na OO ng isang tao! Ang saya saya! Hahaha!

And if you will ask why I love them, here:

1. PC's styling is impeccable. Just tell Maja what you want to see on your reception and VOILA! She will transform a bare place to a magnificent wedding venue.

2. Food? Its H-E-A-V-E-N!!!! 'Nuff said!! (AAAhhh! Oriental Salad! I miss you! Can't wait to have dinner with B at their cafe again --- for the nth time na!!!)

3. Maja is a Christian. Every time we exchange texts and emails, I always see "God Bless" at the end of every message. On their wedding package sheet, I see "To God be the glory". I feel we're really in good hands because I know they are good people. Plus Maja is such a sweetie!

4. They cater to only one event per day. During my research, I read horrible stories of brides who experienced kakalokang stress from their caterers. There's no way I would allow that on my own wedding. With PC, I feel the "THIS IS IT" factor! I can feel na maalagaan talaga nila yung wedding namin and treat it as their own.

5. Lastly, they live up to their name, Passion Cooks. "A wedding reception made possible with a blend of LOVE, PASSION and PRAYERS". Their brides has all praises for PC! Not seeing a single negative feedback made me say that I have also found "THE ONE" for us!

To Maja, Elaine and the rest of your team, the pressure is on you! Hehe!

Wedding Theme and Motif

Everybody knows my favorite color is red. But when asked what will be our wedding color, red is off the list.

Even before he proposed, I've been eyeing on PINK and GRAY. I found these mood boards online and fell in love with the hues!

As for the theme, I just want the whole place to look magical. I want a romantic whimsical type, with some touch of shine, shimmer and splendid. Look at what I found! :)

When he pops the question....on my birthday!

Most girls dream of a fairytale-like scene wherein their prince charming would save her from danger and propose to her right then and there.

I know I'm a liar if I say I' not one of those girls. Really, I want my man to ask me in the most special way, mala-artista with matching audience ang eksena!

April 4, 2013. Its my 27th birthday. I spent my entire day at the office, went home at 12 mn and was fetched by B. He surprised me at my office with a bunch of flowers and a gift (a red Converse sneakers na until now hindi ko pa nasusuot! Hehe!)

Around past 2 am, B and I were talking at the living room when I saw his hand inside his bag. Bigla ako kinabahan! Haha! Naisip ko "eto na siguro yun!" BOOM! My ever reliable instinct was right! I saw a heart-shaped red box! Ayan na! Nagsimula na maglitanya ang lolo! When he's about to get down on his knees, I told him "teka teka, picture muna!" Haha! I know I'm panira ng moment! :D I even had his lines recorded on my phone! Kinig-kinig din pag may time! Hindi ko kasi naabsorb yun lines nya that time so nirecord ko na lang so that may I listen lang ang peg ko! :)

I already have an idea that anytime as soon as he gets back, he will propose kasi I accidentally saw a blurred picture of the ring. Haha! Sorry mine! Pero iba pala talaga ang feeling pag andun ka na sa sitwasyon. I still feel nervous and speechless lalo na when I saw the ring in front of me. :)

Crying B!
I realized I may not have the pinaka-bonggang proposal story, or even if he did it soooo effortlessly, still I can say that I have the best love story ever. Some may find it boring, some may say its too simple. But for me, its the best! Its not how expensive the ring is, where he bought it, how he did it, or how he came up with his lines. All that matters to me is, him. Me and him. I love you so much, mine! And thank you for sharing your life with me. Its more than enough! :)

Start of our journey to forever

I'm a blogging bride to-be!

Hi-ya all! This is my very first post. Here, you can read everything about F + B! From the wedding preps, to the big day, up until after that special day. :)

We're down to almost 18 months before our BIG day and I'm so excited of the thought that I will soon be Mrs. De Asis. :) But of course, I know preparing for a wedding requires much effort, time, money, PATIENCE and LOVE. And with God in the center of our lives, I know that this life of ours called FOREVER is one of God's perfect love story ever written. :)

Wedding is just a day; Marriage is a lifetime.

Happy couple, happy preps! :)

PS. Pardon if at times you will read my rants and witness the inner drama queen in me. You know, I need to let it out (sometimes!). Lol!
